Lionstone has extensive experience in acquiring, managing and improving income-producing properties. Currently, we own and manage residential apartment units in the 5 boroughs of New York City and New Jersey—including projects and building complexes, garden apartments, rentals and cooperatives. Working closely with major financial institutions, established building unions and trades, tenant groups and housing regulatory bodies—including HPD, DHCR, and HUD—we have an exemplary record of renovating distressed properties. 

Our highly trained staff takes a hands-on approach to every issue, responding rapidly to maintenance and repair needs.

Our compliance team monitors and implements the laws and regulations governing the landlord/tenant relationship as well as any local guidelines.

We monitor and track maintenance and construction activities and costs, buy in bulk, and maintain good relationships with vendors, to achieve significant efficiencies and a healthier bottom line for all properties.

A LEGACY OF TRUSTED REAL ESTATE MANAGEMENT

IN 1973

Leibel Lederman served as managing agent for a boutique real estate firm in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Between 1973 and 1985, the Lederman family and several partners purchased over 65 buildings in Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan, totaling 4,000 units. From 1985 to 1989, the Lederman’s purchased shopping centers and office complexes throughout Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

TODAY

Lionstone Capital is considered one of New York City’s most prolific middle-income, multi-family property owners—focused on purchase analysis, internal transactions, financial arrangements and transaction term negotiations. Our commercial property portfolio also continues to grow as we bring more commercial space and buildings under the Lionstone umbrella.

OUR TEAM

Our management team consists of Scott J. Katz, David Lederman and Motti Lederman, three Principals that bring decades of cumulative experience to Lionstone. Each specializes in a particular aspect of real estate management — from financial management and investment strategies, to complex deal structures, and apartment and commercial office building management.
